Recruiting A Vampire Knight! [Roman Flames, Sin, and Wave Darkbright]

Sitting upon his throne, Emperor Roman was waiting on an individual that he has been expecting for some time. Who he is waiting on is a woman by the name of Natalia d'Blakc. Why was he expecting her? Well, the young emperor wishes to recruit her into becoming his Noble Knight. A high-ranking position within the Albastion Empire. In military power, a Noble Knight is second to the Emperor of Albastion. He has been pondering who to recruit for such a position for quite some time, but he never did got around to finding a suitable individual. Mainly because he has been dealing with a certain young god that has been pestering him for quite some time about Genesis.

Now, here's a question that Emperor Roman had considered. Why would he recruit Natalia as his Noble Knight? Well, to be honest, he had sent some of his men to find the most suitable individuals to be some of the open ranks within his empire. One of few that were considered worthy was Natalia d'Blakc. An enigmatic woman whose history is shrouded in darkness. To the emperor, such a woman should not be considered of such a position as a Noble Knight of the Albastion Empire. However, the woman had demonstrated skills that is desired by many powerful individuals. She has been proven to be a competent individual with great leadership skills as well as doing well on her own. As such, Lady d'Blakc is a woman to be desired for her amazing skills on the field of combat.

A knock was heard from the main door, "You may enter.", Emperor Roman called out as a guard entered the room before kneeling before Roman.

"My liege, Natalia d'Blakc has arrived and is ready to be escorted into the throne room.", the guard stated.

"Excellent!", the emperor stated, "Please send her in. I wish to discuss with her.", he said to the guard.

The guard stood up and saluted to the emperor. Exiting the throne room, the guard retrieved Natalia d'Blakc and escorted her into the throne room.

"Ah, hello Lady d'Blakc.", he greeted warmly to the woman, "We have much to discuss.", he stated as the guard exited the throne room to leave the two alone to discuss.

"Ms. d'Blakc, you are requested to meet with the Emperer Roman at the palace. We are to depart immediately." In front of the door, much to her surprise, stood a fashionable dressed, young man. She needed not look further than the seal placed upon his broad shoulders to see that the messenger came from the palace and, therefore, the majesty himself. "What would his majesty wish with me?" Came her cool response. To say she was not suspicious would be considered an understatement. What did he want with her? Yes she had stayed within perimeters of the Empire, but trouble she had caused not. Sure there had been a few things here and there, but never large enough to cause the emperor to take notice upon her or anyone else for that matter. Her golden eyes narrowed. "Normally, the Albastion Empire does not meddle with us 'monsters.'" The man shifted from foot to foot. "Regardless, you are to required to attend a meeting with the Emporer." The man said, watching her closely. "What about?" She asked with suspicion oozing into her voice. The man gave a slight shake of his head. "I cannot discuss these matters further." Natalia grinned, making sure her fangs cleary showed. Panic seemed to cloud the man's eyes, but he remained still and collected much to her admiration. "Then I shall meet with him shortly. I have matters to attend to first." The man frowned uncomfortably. "It is vital you meet..-" Amusement twinkled in her eyes. "Unless you wish me to feed off of you," She said as her lips curled to that of a smirk, "You will give me a few minutes." The man became rigid and nodded mutely.

Satisfied, she left the comfort of her temporary home and off into the blackness of the night. Once outside, she considered walking away. To leave the place behind and restart somehwere else. After all, what had she to lose? Yet, something in her mind nagged her to stay behind and meet with the man who reigned the lands. With a sigh, she returned to the small house after several long minutes. "Well then, shall we get going?" Came her smooth reply. With that, she headed into the roads unknown. The messenger nodded and walked through the door. "This way," He said as he made his way to a carriage. "We will be at the palace in a few hours." Natalia nodded. She entered the carriage and sat by the window. She wished to take note of the roads that they would be taking. The ride to the palace was a rather long one filled with uncomfortable silence, not that the half vampiress minded. Even so, the guards had tried to make a small talk to cease the quietness, but she had refused to speak unless told why she had been summoned. Of course, they never said and thus she never did speak. Scenarios filled her mind, quickly coming up with a way around them. It was how her mind worked, making plans for various events that could occur. With a sigh, she glanced out the window of the carriage. She could not wait to until she arrived.

Finally, they arrived at the castle gates. "Wait here." A gaurd said, leaving her behind with another gaurd who watched her closely. Natalia sighed. After a few moments, the same gaurd appeared and ushered her through winding hallways until reaching the destination. She entered. "Ah, hello Lady d'Blakc." The regal man before her said warmly in greeting. No doubt that this was Emperor Roman himself. "We have much to discuss." he stated as the guard exited the throne room to leave them two alone. "Much to discuss?" She asked nonchalantly, studying the man. "I am afraid I do not know what you mean..." She grinned devilishly and gave a slight bow. "...my liege." Her suspicious eyes filled yet again with amusement at her small 'joke. Her kind held no allegiance with any Empire. They were considered outcast to the so called humans. Even so, she couldn't help but have a little... fun. She glanced around the luxerious hall. "Have I been sentenced?" As soon as her words left her mouth, she wished she could have held her tongue. Even so, it was the most likely explanation for her being there. She decided to remain quiet. It would all unfold in due time.

Although nobody knew Wave was in the room the whole time hiding in the shadows using one of his new powers he attained after becoming a fallen god. He was right beside Roman's throne listening to everything that was going on, and was very pleased to hear that he was finally getting himself a personal guard. *Finally someone else can watch over Roman. I can't be around to protect him all the time...* Wave thought to himself as the guard came in to tell Roman this Natalia girl had arrived to meet with Roman. Wave thought it best if he just stayed in the shadows for now, however he also thought it best if he used Roman's new knight for his own benefit also but he would wait a while before making his move.

Natalia walked into the throne room and greeted Roman. The two then began to talk about how they had much to discuss, although Natalia appeared just a slight bit confused. The more time Wave spent around this woman the more something seemed off to him. What this meant was that she didn't seem like a normal human and after a while of looking at her it was proven true. As she talked Wave looked at her teeth and some of the rear ones were fangs. *Ooh a vampire..* Wave thought to himself. Before Roman would be able to answer her question about being sentenced Wave would emerge from the shadows and into plain sight. He would be wearing his black armor and a cloak and hood o hide his appearance.

"Hello Natalia, no you arent being sentenced you are here to join us. We see that you have the skills it takes to become my friend Roman's new knight. And if you should accept we have another deal we would like to offer you..." As he said this he made a evil grin under his hood even though nobody could see it.

Emperor Roman's interest peaked when Lady d'Blakc asked if she was sentenced. He assumed that she meant whether she was being condemned by the emperor. The question was odd, until he remembered what she was talking about. He was informed that Lady d'Blakc was not... human. It would seems that she is a "monster" and many were considered outcasts. He never did understood the reasoning behind why monsters were to be treated as outcasts. As long as they are reasonable and considerate of others, he should treat them with respect as any other human. Then again, she may be referring to a crime that she may have committed. He wanted to ask her what she meant, but he was interrupted by a rude individual. It was none other than Sir Wave of Darkbright. That fellow has always been known to disregard the rules.

"Ah, hello Sir Wave, I see that you became aware of the meeting that Lady d'Blakc and I were about to have.", the emperor said to the recently turned fallen god. Sir Wave explained the nature of the meeting and implied another discussion to have in the near future. *Ahem* "Yes, you are not being sentenced in any way of form. In fact, you are being considered of becoming a Noble Knight of the Albastion Empire. The people I have sent were ordered to find any exceptionable individuals with amazing skills to obtain the position. Out of many, you are considered to be one of the best for the position.", he said to the vampire. "With the position, you shall become a citizen of the Albastion Empire and your race will not be discriminated as well. Sir Wave and I believe in equality. We prefer treating everyone equally. Be they human or monsters.", he continued. "Now, I'm aware the decision may require time to consider. It is an odd request, especially during a time where monsters are being discriminated. It would be an honor to have a woman of your caliber to join the ranks of the Albastion Empire. And again, Sir Wave has another proposition for you as well, should you agree.", he finished as he waited for Lady d'Blakc answer.

"Hello Natalia, no you aren't being sentenced you are here to join us." Her golden eyes shifted to where the voice resonated from. The source of the voice came from a man hidden within the shadows and darkness. Due to his stealthy, useful skill of keeping himself hidden... undetected, she assumed him not to be human. "Monster?" Perhaps not as he was given the  liberty to wander around the throne room and speak freely. "Join you?" Her eyes narrowed. Join them for what? She remained quiet in hopes that she would find out soon. "Ah, hello Sir Wave, I see that you became aware of the meeting that Lady d'Blakc and I were about to have.", the emperor said, turning his attention to the man whom had just appeared, Wave. The man, Wave, drew his attention towards her and continued to speak. "We see that you have the skills it takes to become my friend Roman's new knight." A knight? And if you should accept we have another deal we would like to offer you..." So this was why she had been brought here. But, then again, it could be some sort of joke. Before she could press the matter further, the Emperor spoke, *Ahem* "Yes, you are not being sentenced in any way of form. In fact, you are being considered of becoming a Noble Knight of the Albastion Empire. The people I have sent were ordered to find any exceptionable individuals with amazing skills to obtain the position. Out of many, you are considered to be one of the best for the position." He paused before continuing, "With the position, you shall become a citizen of the Albastion Empire and your race will not be discriminated as well. Sir Wave and I believe in equality. We prefer treating everyone equally. Be they human or monsters." He continued, "Now, I'm aware the decision may require time to consider. It is an odd request, especially during a time where monsters are being discriminated. It would be an honor to have a woman of your caliber to join the ranks of the Albastion Empire. And again, Sir Wave has another proposition for you as well, should you agree." He finished and waited for her answer. "A Knight?" She looked at both of them in the eyes. She seaked answers. "A Noble Knight at that..." Her words were drawn and pensive. Once hearing about her race, she smirked. Her fangs glistened due to the lighting in the room. "My race? Heh." Natalia said amusedly. "If you consider me vampire then you are only half right." She raised an eyebrow curiously. "If I were to accept such a position, what would be required of me?" She had been turning to offer around in her mind and as much as it could be a trap, it was enticing. If it were to hold any truth, she would be able to hunt down the Prydes and... She looked up at both the men. She had made a deciscion regardless of what they would say next, but she would speak it after her question was answered. Was she crazy? Perhaps, but this could be the opportunity she had been waiting for.
