She had thought about this very carefully, for weeks. Although she felt as though she was completely content with her life within the forest, she always knew something was missing. Something was different, as though her purpose was incomplete. She figured that if she waited long enough, for the hero of a pure heart and spirit to stand before her at the sacred grounds, then maybe it would help her feel fulfilled. There was always something missing though, and when Oski had found her after all these years... well, it definitely changed her mindset on things.
She avoided him for centuries. Actually, she avoided all the Gods for centuries. They were always arguing. And although she had left on generally good terms with all of them, they were not on the best terms with each other. Choosing a side was something she wanted to avoid, though as of late, that didn't seem like a good option anymore. As Kodai had put it, if she did not choose a side, she would be the worst out of them all. That was something that she thought about often. Being neutral was generally the best option to avoid wars, but when it came to the lives of all others, she had to come to a decision on who to protect.
Who was worth fighting for? She felt that all life was sacred and all life was meant to have a chance. Fighting, no, killing others for the sake of protecting life seemed a bit ironic, didn't it? But what really had made her think about this though, was Oski. He had asked for her help, and that was something that caught her off guard. She didn't expect him to have been so soft on her. Seeing him, she assumed he would have been angry with her for leaving without a word, but he seemed more saddened by it than anything. He actually looked for her, and apparently was desperate about it... which was what shocked her.
She decided that she wasn't going to let him down again. If he truly needed her, she would be there. In times of war, she'd need to step out of her comfort zone. She was a Goddess. She was the Goddess. The only Goddess there was, and she had to show her strength and confidence. She wouldn't hide this time around. Knowing that Oski was going to be traveling about the Albastion Empire, she gathered herself to leave her normal grove, entrusting the protection of the temple to the creatures of the forest and her followers.
Ferra fluttered about the goddess slowly as she stepped through the misty shadows of the Forest of the Water Maiden. Rhiannon could feel his presence near by, though she was not sure where exactly it was. She just continued to follow the source of the aura slowly, hoping she'd find him, and not someone else who was going to cause trouble.
